I have to make a very quick post to say how much I enjoyed watching The Pillars of the Earth, a historical drama that started on Channel 4 last night. I think the first instalment was a double episode (the whole series has already been broadcast in the US, I believe - any fans out there?), and it had quite an epic quality to it.
